Geraldine Westmore Duskin was born in England and educated in Canada, France, and the U.S. She holds a degree in French and Art History but abandoned her doctoral thesis in anthropology to become a dealer in 20th century decorative arts, specializing in French Art Deco.
After a diversion as a photographic model in Paris, she opened a decorative and fine arts gallery in Upstate N.Y. providing interior design services to her clients. Continuing to expand her creative talents, Duskin embarked on an award-winning 14 year career as a costume designer for theatre and film.
Nine years ago she opened Ghostprint Gallery in Richmond, VA in collaboration with her daughter Thea using her wide experience in the arts to present and promote work of talented artists. More recently she formed Geraldine Duskin Design focusing on the design aspect of the business to provide clients the time and attention needed to develop the designs they envision.
